7/23/21	In the 70’s the highlight of my summer was visiting the island and visiting the castle. My mother who recently passed away was a life long believer in the supernatural and she passed her love of those subjects on to me at an early age. My summers were spent reading on the beach about buried treasures, shipwrecks on the shoals and the Jersey Devil. It’s not hard to measure how much impact my visits to the island and trips to the castle every year had on my life. I’m a full time resident now and i host a paranormal podcast from here on the island called Wicked Garden Podcast. I met my wife here and we had our first day trip here at the beach. She immediately fell in love with the island and we bought our forever home here shortly after. One of my fondest and funniest memories of my mom was her laughing uncontrollably when i got separated from her at the end of our first trip to the castle and emerged desperately holding onto the waste of a poor innocent bystander with a similar blouse. The rat room, the baronial hall, the headless woman illusion, what a great experience. Thanks to the actors and the people running this site for keeping those moments alive.
