The outside of Dracula's Haunted Castle at night (above) and during the day (below).
Dracula's Haunted Castle was the next haunted ride down the street which was like a mini castle peppered with little red windows. I liked the castle motif and the evil tree on the outside but I could do without the commercial stores below. Sandee did not like the picture of Dracula out front, but believe me I have seen worse.
When purchasing tickets at Dracula's Haunted Castle, you choose the level of scare. The three levels are daring, crazy, and hard core. |
In this ride you picked an option for the level of scare you wanted. I chose the highest which was "hard core," despite Sandee's plea for the family "daring" level. We headed into the darkness and experienced yelling actors who followed and tormented us for the whole ride.
Dracula has his own butcher inside the castle. |
Just in time for the holidays. |
The Prince of Darkness himself inside his wine cellar. |
There were some clever stunts similar to many classic dark rides mostly consistent with a castle theme. This ride also used many tricky fun house gimmicks like walking on foam and people jumping out to scare you. On a scale of 1 through 5, I give this haunted attraction a 3.
