Thanks so much for your meticulously
detailed overviews & history of the Haunted Mansion at the Long
Branch Pier. It's brought back such fond memories of that time spent
there for me w/ my family, when I was a kid. We'd trek to Long
Branch from Elizabeth NJ on the weekends, during the summer season
in the late 70's thru the mid 80's.
I'm pretty convinced it was that
uniquely specific rush of both fear & adrenaline I'd always get
when in close proximity to the haunted mansion itself, (especially
when hearing the memorable Hermann/ Mysterious Island music as you'd
approach, and seeing the hooded ghouls roaming outside beckoning
people to enter) that had helped to galvanize my lifelong love of
horror since, as well as influencing my artistic aspirations &
eventual career pursuits in both the comic book industry, and in
video game development.
I'm happy to see your newest/latest
updates, showing you're both still at it.

I can still remember going to the
haunted mansion as a teenager in the 80's, walk through it was great
to this day I can't find a better place. I loved the see though
floor to the dungeon and the rat tails hitting our legs, the guy
with the axe hitting the door jam above our heads, scared the living
sh** out of us. Was told that there was a door that could be opened
and take you to another area, never found it. But had fun checking
every door anyway ??
