Like the Brigantine Castle, the Haunted Mansion was advertised heavily in New York and New Jersey. The elaborate radio and television commercials were responsible for drawing thousands of visitors to the Long Branch Pier every week. Because many of the attractions at the Haunted Mansion were identical to ones at Brigantine Castle, the television ads for Brigantine Castle and the Haunted Mansion included some of the same scenes. You were never sure as to where the footage was taken....Brigantine or Long Branch. Once Kid's World was introduced in 1985, the advertising campaign for the pier changed completely. Gone were the gory scenes from the mansion, and in were happy shots of kids set to a catchy jingle. We collected several different Long Branch Pier television commercials that we posted in Windows Media Player format. A special thank you to Pat Cicalese who provided us with several different versions of these commercials. Also, we would like to thank Jesse Skeen for providing the 1978 Haunted Mansion TV commercial. Click on one of the versions below to view them.
Eric Princz provided us with two different Haunted Mansion radio commercials. Although the commercials are a little choppy at parts, they give you a good idea of the high production values that went into these ads. Click on one of the Flash files below to hear the commercials.
