[Dark in the Park Writing Contest]

 

The results of the Dark in the Park writing contest, sponsored by Zachary Malice and Company, are finally in.  Thank you to all those that participated.  We enjoyed reading the entries.

FIRST PLACE:

"The Last Tour" by Roderick Markham.  This chilling story depicts a final  walk-through of Brigantine Castle before its fiery demise.  The first place prize was a Castle Dracula DVD, a Dark in the Park sticker, and a plaque.  Congratulations Roderick.

 

SECOND PLACE:  

"Mansion Monster Mash" by Good Brethren.  This story describes a wild melee involving bikers at the Haunted Mansion at Long Branch.

 

THIRD PLACE:

"A Haunting to Remember" by Robert Kimble.  This story describes a disturbing tour through the late Castle Dracula in Wildwood.

 

HONORABLE MENTION:

"A Memorable Life Experience" by Eoin Koepfinger.  This story describes lasting memories of  Castle Dracula.

 

 

All the stories were evaluated on the following criteria:

Creativity 20%
Grammar/Spelling 20%
Focus (on dark attraction) 20%
Content 20%
Organization 20%
